We've picked up Brian Schneider, who has always killed us at the plate.
Do your job and approach the game the right way. This is a blue-collar city. The fans are at the ballpark every night. They boo you if you don’t do your job, but they cheer the heck out of you when you do. And that’s so rewarding.

Our season has ended, but it's been a great one.
Be proud of our guys because they deserve it. And because I’m sure Harry is.
As much as you might want to resort to the typical Philadelphian fan negativity...
(Which, by the way, is the one thing that pisses me off about fellow Phillies fans)
You know we can do this.
I know we can do this.
They know they can do this.
And so does Harry.
Believe.
One strike away; nothing-and-two, the count to Hinske. Fans on their feet, rally towels are being waved. Brad Lidge, stretches. The 0-2 pitch. SWING AND A MISS, STRUCK HIM OUT. The Philadelphia Phillies are 2008 World Champions of baseball! Brad Lidge does it again and stays perfect for the 2008 season! 48-for-48 in save opportunities! And let this city celebrate! Don’t let the 48 hour wait diminish the euphoria of this moment, and the celebration. And it has been 28 years since the Phillies have enjoyed a world championship, 25 years in this city that a team has enjoyed a world championship, and the fans are ready to celebrate. What a night!
